Well - it's been interesting so far!!!
The holidays were nice. As a family, my in-laws decided not give gifts to the adults, but to adopt a family instead! We were given a Mom, Dad, 18 yr old girl, Jr. High age girl, 6 yr old boy and 6 mo old boy! It was so fun to buy for the Mom and baby! The family came thru like troopers and we had a huge box of gifts and food gift cards to deliver to them 3 days before Christmas! It made our Christmas Eve celebration all that more fun! Thanks for thinking of this Nicole
Two weeks into the new year I twisted funny getting into the car and heard a POP in my left knee. After 2 more weeks of thinking "it's gonna get better" (regardless of the fact I had to use my cane to get around), I finally went in and found I had torn the meniscus and needed surgery! A week ago yesterday I had the surgery and am off on medical leave for another 3 weeks minimum!! Mom, Dad, Andrea and Emily came to stay with me for the first 5 days.
I know some would be dreading 3 more weeks off...not me!! I have already finished a baby beret for Emily (she took it with her); a soft, pink baby hat that is 2 sizes too big (hate gauge swatches) and is now a chemo cap for a friend, and have started Andrea's "thank you" socks (from Socks a la Carte) that are the hardest things I've knit yet!!
I think I've gone to knit heaven!!!!!!!
